Iquitos – Nauta – Yarapa River – Amazon Reserve

Day 1: Immersion in the Heart of the Jungle

  • Transfer I pick up at the Iquitos airport/hotel and land transfer to the city of Enjoy (1.5 hours).
  • River Expedition 2-hour navigation on the Marañón, Ucayali, and the Amazon River. Biodiversity sighting.
  • Arrival at the Hostel: Security briefing, room handover, and lunch.
  • Afternoon: First ecotourism hike for flora and fauna reconnaissance.
  • Night Night safari to see tarantulas, insects, giant frogs, and snakes.
  • Dawn (5:00 AM): Sunrise on the Yarapa River and birdwatchingParrots).
  • Tomorrow: Artisanal fishing Piranhas. The chef will prepare your catch for lunch.
  • Afternoon: Observation and swimming with pink dolphins and grays during sunset.
  • Night Kayak trip in search of caimans and learning night fishing with a bow.
  • Tomorrow: Equipment preparation and navigation into the jungle. Encounter with sloths and iguanas. Visit to the Victoria Regia (the largest aquatic plant in the world).
  • Afternoon: Start of the Extreme Adventure. Deep jungle immersion. Setting up camp in the deep jungle.
  • Construction Practical workshop on Hut construction and natural shelters.
  • Search for wild boars (huanganas), capybaras, or ronsocos.
  • Overnight stay Night in the jungle, sleeping in the shelter built by the participants.
  • Stay overnight to experience the most authentic Amazon under the stars.
  • Tomorrow: Rustic breakfast and hike Advanced survival. Identification of medicinal plants and obtaining water from lianas.
  • Hunting Workshop Practice using the blowgun (Pucuna) and tracking techniques.

A mystical journey into the heart of the Amazon. This expedition will take you from the community of «Buenos Aires» to the mythical Chingana, a pristine sanctuary where nature dictates its own laws.

✅Day 1: Heading to the Vastness

  • Transfer to Nauta and navigation by the Marañón River to the community of «Buenos Aires.».
  • In the afternoon, we will navigate the «Black Waters» of the Yanayacu River, a fascinating experience where the river acts as a perfect mirror to the sky.
  • We will conclude the day with an exciting night canoe safari to spot caimans.
  • Sunrise on the Yanayacu-Pucate River.
  • We will explore the Lupuna Trail, visiting the most majestic tree in the Amazon, and we will navigate the impressive aquatic labyrinths of the Renacales.
  • I spent the night in the community of «Yarina,» the threshold of the virgin jungle.
  • We venture into Chingana, a privileged area with dense vegetation and ancient trees, inaccessible to traditional tours.
  • We will go on canoe expeditions through narrow channels to look for river wolves, maquisapas monkeys, and the prehistoric Shansho.
  • We will enjoy dinners under the stars and safe camping in absolute contact with nature.
  • We begin the return by navigating with the current.
  • We will make a technical stop in «Yarina» and «Buenos Aires» before our overland transfer to Iquitos.
  • Arrives in Iquitos around 6:30 PM.

🏹 Gálvez River Expedition: Coexistence with the Matsés Tribe Brazil-Peru

  • Paseos nocturnos por el río para observar diferentes animales que salen en las noches.
  • Observación del amanecer, atardecer
  • Pesca con flecha típica de diferentes variedades de peces.
  • Convivir con diferentes pueblos Matsés como: «Gran Perú», «Remo Yacu», «Nuevo San Juan». Conocer sus costumbres, modos de vida, etc
  • Ritual del Rapé: Durante la convivencia se comparte  el soplo del Rapé con los Matsés, para limpiar la mente, agudizar los sentidos antes de entrar a la selva profunda y recibir la fuerza de los ancestros Matsés.
  • Ceremonia del Kambó: Se realiza al amanecer y en ayunas se participa de la aplicación de la medicina de la rana (Phyllomedusa bicolor), es un proceso de desintoxicación física y energética para eliminar el “panema “(la mala suerte) y ganar la resistencia necesaria para explorar el interior de la selva.
